‘Cyclothon 2026’ marks 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jabalpur Police organised a ‘Cyclothon 2026’ to promote national unity and environmental awareness. The event was held under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay (IPS), carrying the message: “Let’s ride bicycles, save the environment.”
 
The cyclothon commenced at Police Line Parade Ground where Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suryakant Sharma flagged off the rally. The rally followed a route across key city locations including Malgodam Chowk, High Court Chowk, Ghantaghar, Badi Omti, Karamchand Chowk, Malviya Chowk, Ranital Chowk, Gate No. 4, Madan Mahal Police Station, Bloom Chowk, Jabalpur Hospital, Russell Chowk, Income Tax Chowk, Nagarath Chowk,
 
Chandanvan, and returned via High Court and Malgodam Chowk, concluding back at the Police Line Ground. Around 200 participants took part in the event, including police officers, personnel, their family members, youth, athletes, and cadets from NSS and NCC. Notable attendees included Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma, CSP Cantt Udaybhan Bagri, retired DSP Sunil Nema, Reserve Inspector Jai Prakash Arya, Ranjhi Police Station In-charge Umesh Golhani, Subedar Ruma Tekam and Subedar Manish Naveria. The event aimed to encourage a healthy lifestyle while spreading awareness about environmental conservation and unity among citizens.
