In another tragic incident, two including a woman were killed and a man was injured when a speeding pick-up vehicle rammed into a parked truck near Andhmuk by-pass under the jurisdiction of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, early morning on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Chhoti Bai Kushwaha (40), also known as Gomti Kushwaha, and Sandeep Kushwaha (25), residents of Ghansaur village while another man named Akash Yadav (24) of Seoni district was injured. According to Sanjeevani Nagar police, injured Akash Yadav (24), a driver from Seoni district informed that he was driving a loaded pickup vehicle from Ghansaur to Jabalpur’s vegetable market. Two passengers, Chhoti Bai Kushwaha and Sandeep Kushwaha were seated beside him. After crossing the Andhmook bypass bridge, the pickup lost control and crashed into the rear side of a stationary truck parked along the highway. The impact occurred on the conductor’s side, trapping the passengers inside the vehicle. The two travellers along with driver sustained severe injuries. With the help of passersby, the injured were rushed to the Medical College via a 1033 highway ambulance. However, doctors declared Chhoti Bai and Sandeep dead on arrival and condition of injured is stable. Sanjeevani Nagar Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation into the accident. The deceased has been identified as Vimal Sen (39), a resident of Chhangavan village while Lakhan Lodhi and Ramvaran Lodhi of the same village were injured. According to Majhgavan police, the incident came to light when injured were brought to the Government Hospital in Majhgawan. Learning about the incident, police reached the hospital where Ravindra Lodhi (25), a resident of Chhangawan village, informed that he received information from a villager about the accident near Chhangawan Tiraaha. Upon reaching the spot, villagers found Vimal Sen (39) lying unconscious with severe injuries to his head, hands and legs. A damaged motorcycle and a white Marshal vehicle were also found at the spot. It was informed that two other injured persons, Lakhan Lodhi and Ramvaran Lodhi, had already been taken to the hospital by locals. All three were initially brought to the Majhgawan Government Hospital, where doctors declared Vimal Sen dead while the other two were referred to the Medical College for further treatment. In prima facie of the investigation, police learnt that the victims were riding on a motorcycle when a speeding Marshal vehicle hit them near Chhangawan turn on the main road. Majhgavan Police sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case while further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the accused driver of martial vehicle.
