Some members, including Professor S S Sandhu and Dr Sunita Singh, participated virtually via Google Meet, highlighting the university's blend of traditional and modern administrative practices. Despite entering the new fiscal year with a Rs 20.98 crore deficit budget, the university remained on firm financial footing. Finance Controller, Suresh Katia highlighted that the university achieved a remarkable surplus of Rs 14.95 crore during 2025-26 period. This stability is largely attributed to a 92% surge in student enrollment and rigorous cost-cutting measures implemented over the past year. The Council approved several multi-crore projects aimed at modernising the campus. It approved a new three-story building with an estimated cost of Rs 6 crore for Agricultural Department and a dedicated three-story facility was sanctioned for Rs 6 crore for Nursing & Paramedical. Then, moving away from frequent minor renovations, the university will construct a modern four-story residential complex featuring 40 units and elevator access (estimated at Rs 6 crore), with an additional Rs. 2 crore set aside for essential repairs of existing structures. To streamline academic and administrative processes, the university is pivoting toward a ‘Digital First’ approach as Rs 2 crore has been allocated for implementation of digital marking and general digitisation of university records. The administration is fast-tracking the transition to an E-Office system. To ensure accountability, the council suggested quarterly review meetings to monitor expenditure and project timelines. The Council recommended introducing several new courses starting from the upcoming academic session to cater to growing student demand. 2
