THE youth of Chhattisgarh state
have achieved remarkable success by winning 12 medals and
04 Medals of Excellence in the
India Skills Regional Competition
(East) 2025-26. This competition
is being organized in four stages
at the district, state, regional and
national levels respectively.
The India Skills Regional
Competition (East) 2025-26 was
organised by the Ministry of Skill
Development and
Entrepreneurship, Government
of India, with the aim of providing a national platform to the
talent, technical skills and innovation capacity of the youth.
Participants selected at the
national level will have the opportunity to represent India at World
Skills International.
Congratulating the youth of the
state, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo
Sai said that the youth of Chhattisgarh have proven that
they are capable of competing not only at the national but
also at the global level. The State government is prioritizing skill development and promoting modern training,
innovation, and industry-oriented courses. This success is
an important step towards realizing the resolve of strong
youth, prosperous Chhattisgarh, he added.
The East Zone Regional Competition concluded on March
2, 2026, in Bhubaneswar, where over 200 participants from
Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and
Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in 59 skill categories. The participants from Chhattisgarh performed
exceptionally well, winning a total of 12 medals and 4
Medals of Excellence, including 1 Gold, 2 Silver, 5 Bronze
and 4 Medals of Excellence. Sunil Kumar Paital won the
gold medal in Digital Interactive Media, Khushank Nayak
in 3D Digital Game Art, Pushkar Sonbar in CNC Milling,
and Atmaram in CNC Turning, bringing honor to the state.
Similarly, Nikhil in CNC Milling, Abhishek Kumar in
Electronics, Reshman in Plumbing and Heating, and
Satendra Kumar in Web Technology brought honor to
Chhattisgarh by winning bronze medals. Similarly, Nohar
Lal Patel in Renewable Energy, Om Banjare in Mechanical
Engineering, Antara Mukherjee in Health and Social Care
received the Medal of Excellence.
