The festival of colours was celebrated with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour across Sanskardhani, on Wednesday as Jabalpurians marked Holi with joy and harmony. From early morning, groups of youngsters and families gathered in neighbourhoods, smearing each other with gulal, colours and exchanged festive greetings. The sound of drums and popular Holi songs filled the air as people danced in streets and public places. Children were seen enjoying water balloons and pichkaris, while elders preferred dry colours and festive sweets. Temples witnessed a steady flow of devotees offering prayers before joining the celebrations. In several localities, community Holi Milan programmes were organised, where people from different backgrounds came together to share sweets and strengthen social bonds. Many housing societies arranged cultural events and feasts, adding to the festive spirit. Markets remained busy in early morning hours, with brisk sales of colours, sweets and festive items.

Sweet shops reported high demand for gujiya, barfi, malpua and other traditional delicacies. The district administration and police department maintained extra police deployment across sensitive areas to ensure peaceful celebrations. Senior officials said adequate security arrangements were made and citizens cooperated in maintaining order. Traffic movement remained largely smooth, with minor diversions in crowded areas. Environmental awareness was also visible, with several groups promoting eco friendly and water saving Holi. Residents were encouraged to use herbal colours and avoid wastage of water. By evening, families gathered to visit relatives and friends, exchanging greetings and festive dishes. The Holi celebrations reflected the cultural liveliness of Sanskardhani, as the city once again showcased its spirit of unity and togetherness through colours, music and shared joy.
