With the aim of promoting the safety, empowerment, and awareness on women and girls, Katni District Police launched a special initiative, ‘Police Didi’. The publicity vehicle of this campaign was flagged off by SP, Katni, Abhinay Vishwakarma from the Police Control Room, Katni. On this occasion, he stated that the primary objective of the ‘Police Didi’ campaign is to make girls and women aware of their rights, safety laws, cybercrime prevention, self-defense, and police helpline numbers, so that they can move forward fearlessly in society. Under this campaign, female police officers and employees will visit schools, colleges, villages, and urban neighborhoods to interact with girls and women.

 

They will be informed about various crime prevention measures, the process for seeking emergency assistance, and laws related to women's safety. They will also be provide detail information on cybercrime, social media abuse, and online fraud prevention. The campaign aims to increase self-confidence among women and girls, strengthen their trust in the police, and create an environment of security and respect in society. Katni District Police has appealed to the general public to actively participate in this campaign and in case of any emergency, immediately contact the police helpline 100/112 or the concerned police station.
