THE photo exhibition
“Chhattisgarh’s Luminaries:
The Inspiring Journeys of
Padma Award Recipients,”
organized by the
Department of Culture and
Official Language,
Chhattisgarh, received overwhelming appreciation
from visitors during the
state’s silver jubilee celebrations.
On the final day, Padma
Shri awardee Ajay Kumar
Mandavi from KankerBastar visited the exhibition.
Dedicated to
Chhattisgarh’s exceptional
personalities honored with
one of India’s highest civilian awards the Padma the
exhibition highlights talents
from literature, arts, music,
dance, folk culture, education, science, medicine, and
social service. These luminaries, born on
Chhattisgarh’s sacred soil,
achieved personal success
through relentless effort,
struggle, and dedication,
while contributing significantly to societal welfare,
cultural preservation, and
national pride.
Director Culture, Vivek
Acharya stated, “This exhibition, held during the silver jubilee year, is a vital cultural initiative to preserve
Chhattisgarh’s glorious history and pass it on to future
generations. It celebrates the
state’s achievements and
honors the ideals and values that have propelled
Chhattisgarh toward progress, prestige, and inspiration.”
Deputy Director of Culture and Rajbhasha Umesh Mishra
added that the exhibition aims to vividly showcase these
icons’ inspiring life journeys to the public. Featuring photos and brief descriptions, it captures their struggles, key
accomplishments, moments of receiving honors, and positive societal impacts serving as a reminder of past triumphs
and guidance for the present and future. Organizer
Deependra Diwan reaffirmed, “This exhibition will be a
powerful source of inspiration, especially for the youth.
The life stories of these great personalities will instill confidence, duty, discipline, hard work, and a spirit of national service in young minds.”
