A road accident occurred near the Dhuma Bypass, under the Dhuma police station area of Seoni district, on Wednesday, March 4. A speeding pickup truck lost control and overturned in a field. There were no casualties, although the vehicle sustained significant damage. According to reports, the pickup truck was travelling from Lakhnadaun to Jabalpur. As the driver approached the Dhuma Bypass, the vehicle lost control, resulting in the vehicle veering off the road and overturning. Fortunately, the driver remained unharmed and escaped serious injury. The location of the accident is a busy area with frequent traffic. If other vehicles or pedestrians had been present on the road at the time of the incident, a major accident could have occurred. Locals have demanded proper marking and signage for speed breakers on the road, so that drivers can control their speed in time.

 

Upon receiving information about the incident, Dhuma police station police arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. Police removed the damaged vehicle from the road and restored traffic. Dhuma Police Station In-charge Doman Singh Marvi stated that information about the road accident was received and the entire incident is being investigated. Initially, the cause of the accident is believed to be speeding and reckless driving on speed breakers. The Station In-charge stated that the police are constantly advising drivers to drive carefully and follow traffic rules. Despite this, some people are being careless, leading to such accidents. The police have appealed to drivers to adhere to the prescribed speed limit, exercise special caution near speed breakers, and prioritize their own and others' safety.
