PUNJAB National Bank defeated Shikshak Sahakari Bank (SSB) by 18 runs in the inter-bank B Division cricket tournament. Batting first, PNB posted a competitive 196-5 in 20 overs. Chetan Kale (34) and Ankit Vishwakarma (19) added 59 runs in the first five overs. Captain Rutupurna Pathak (50) and Kishore Warudkar (50) then hit a half-century each to anchor the innings thus guiding PNB to a strong total. For SSB, Sagar Dwivedi (2-19) was the standout bowler, while Girish Gadam and Nehal Bhoskar chipped in with a wicket each. In reply, Makarand Shete played a brilliant knock of 88 and tried to keep SSB in the chase.

However, PNB’s disciplined bowling attack kept things under control and restricted SSB to 178-3 in 20 overs. Bhimraj Chaudhary, (1-35) Kishore Warudkar, (1-12) and Sanjay Nikhare (1- 16) picked up a wicket each.
