In a shocking incident under the Kolar Police Station jurisdiction, a 22-year-old youth was kidnapped and brutally assaulted by seven individuals. The victim, identified as Dinesh Ahirwar, was allegedly targeted because of his association with a person whom the attackers considered a rival. The assailants held Ahirwar captive in a car for two hours, during which he was mercilessly beaten-up with belts, sticks and kicks. The severity of the assault left the victim with fractures in two fingers and multiple internal injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Dinesh Ahirwar, who works as a salesman at a private garment shop in Kolar, narrated the ordeal to the police.
According to the victim, the incident occurred on March 4 around 1 pm near Bisankhedi Pulia. He was intercepted by Nikki Shukla, Akash Prajapati and their associates while he was walking.
The accused questioned him regarding his friendship with Vishu Sharma, stating they harboured an old rivalry with Sharma.
They reportedly told Ahirwar that he would have to pay the price for this association. He was then forcibly bundled into a car and taken to a secluded spot near Saumya Green City Colony, where the brutal assault took place until he lost consciousness.
To cover their tracks, the attackers attempted to disguise the crime.
The victim’s sister, Shivani Ahirwar, received a call from Dinesh’s phone claiming he had met with a serious road accident and was being treated at the CHC Hospital on Kolar Road.
“When we reached the hospital, we found Dinesh in the emergency ward with horrific injury marks all over his body,” Shivani stated in her
complaint. It was later revealed that the accused, along with an associate named Anas Khan, had dropped the unconscious victim at the
hospital and fled after making the misleading call of
kidnapping and assaulting him.
Kolar Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Soni confirmed that based on the sister’s
complaint, a case has been
registered against the following: Nikki Shukla, Akash Prajapati, Tilak Chauhan, Divyanshu, Nannu, Ajay, and Aman Prajapati.
“Most of the named accused have prior criminal records. We have formed multiple teams to track down and apprehend the suspects who are currently on the run,” Station House Officer, Sanjay Soni added.
