The death toll in the explosion at the SBL Energy Limited in Raulgaon village of Katol tehsil has risen to 22 after two more women workers died during treatment at Orange City Hospital in Nagpur. The massive explosion took place on March 1, at the explosives manufacturing unit. Initially, several workers died in the blast, and by March 6, the death toll had reached 20. However, the deaths of two more women workers over the weekend increased the number of victims to 22. The two deceased workers have been identified as Amrapali Kalsarpe (36) and Roshni Umathe (32). Amrapali, who had suffered 55 per cent burn injuries, was declared dead by doctors at 11 pm on Saturday at Orange City Hospital. Roshni, who had 75 per cent burns, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment. Due to her critical condition, doctors had placed her on life support, but she could not survive.
 
arlier, another woman worker, Durga Sewatkar (42), had also died on Friday during treatment. Doctors at Orange City Hospital said that 14 injured workers, all women, are still admitted in the critical care unit with burn injuries ranging from 30 per cent to 70 per cent. Doctors are closely monitoring them and trying their best to save their lives. Hospital sources said that two of the patients have suffered severe damage to their organs, leaving them partially disabled. Police have registered a culpable homicide case against around 21 people, including the company owner and senior officials. Further investigation into the Raulgaon blast is underway.
