Thakare have been selected
in Maharashtra squads for
the Sub-Junior National
Championships.
Yash, a student of Madan
Gopal Agarwal School and
supportedbyAnjaniHockey
Academy will represent
Hockey Maharashtra at the
Sub-Junior Men’s Hockey
Championship to be heldin
Rajgir, Bihar, from April
1-12.
Yash attended the team’s
training camp organised in
Pune fromMarch 19 toApril
1. After the training camp,
the team will depart for
Rajgir on April 2.
Maharashtra team has
been placed in Pool A and
will begin their campaign
against Punjab on April 5
and then play Chandigarh
on 7th.
The support team
includes Deepak
Khobragade, Umesh Yadav,
BabluNeware,GauravRaut,
Kishore Jichkar, Satish
Fulshuge,ShahnawazKhan,
Vivek Syria and Raju Reddy.

selected for 16th All India
Sub-Junior Women’s
NationalChampionships to
beheldatRanchi, Jharkhand
from April 1-12.
Her good performance in
thePunecamp thatwasheld
at Pimpri-Chinchwad from
March 21-31, Maitree got
selected in the team of 18.
TeamMaharashtra will play
their matches with Hockey
Jharkhand, and Hockey
Bihar. Team Maharashtra’s
matches will start from
April 5.
The promising player has
been trained by coach
