THE Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has sealed Vishal Mega Mart located in front of Chanchal Bai College for alleged violations of rules and fire safety norms. The action was taken following the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar. A joint team comprising Additional Commissioner Anju Singh, Anti-encroachment officer Manish Tarse, Market Superintendent Rajendra Dubey and Fire Department officials conducted the sealing operation.

 

Senior officials said the establishment had been violating mandatory norms and fire safety standards for a long time. Despite prior notices and instructions from the JMC administration, compliance was not ensured, forcing to take strict action. The drive was led by the Additional Commissioner, with Fire Officer Kushagra Thakur and other team members. A number of officials and employees were present on the spot to maintain order during the action. Senior officials stated that no commercial establishment will be allowed to compromise public safety. Strict action will continue against those failing to adhere to prescribed norms.
