DURING his visit to the Kashi
Vishwanath Temple Corridor in
Varanasi on Tuesday, Chief
Minister Dr Mohan Yadav
announced that a new chapter
of development is being written
under the leadership of Prime
Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that the Governments of
Madhya Pradesh and Uttar
Pradesh are fostering a shared
culture in governance and religious tourism, embracing the
mantra of Development with
Heritage. During the visit, a significant Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) was
signed between the Baba
Vishwanath and Baba Mahakal
shrines to strengthen arrangements and ensure a continuous
exchange of information, providing superior facilities to devotees. Chief Minister Dr Yadav held
a meeting with the trustees of the
temple trust, closely observing
crowd management strategies,
real-time CCTV monitoring, and
the mobile app-based token system. He described these protocols as highly relevant for the
upcoming Simhastha-2028 in
Ujjain.
The Chief Minister remarked
that by learning from the management of the Prayagraj Kumbh
and the Kashi Corridor, the
Madhya Pradesh Government is
ensuring world-class arrangements for devotees in Ujjain.
He
also paid floral tributes at the
statue of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai
Holkar and performed rituals at
Baba Vishwanath and Maa
Ganga.
Expanding the horizons of economic and industrial co-operation, another vital MOU was
signed in the field of ‘One DistrictOne Product’ (ODOP) between
the two states. Chief Minister Dr.
Yadav informed that a ‘Unity
Mall’ will be constructed in Ujjain
at a cost of 284 crore to promote
ODOP products. Additionally,
discussions were held on providing irrigation and affordable
power to farmers through the
Ken-Betwa Link Project.
As part of the cultural
exchange, the Chief Minister
announced that a grand megaplay (Mahanatya) on Emperor
Vikramaditya is being staged in
Varanasi from April 3 to 5. Present
on this occasion were Uttar
Pradesh Industrial Development
Minister Nand Gopal Gupta
‘Nandi’, Micro, Small, and
Medium Enterprises Minister
Rakesh Sachan, along with senior administrative officers.
