Bastar liberated from Naxalism: CM, n CM highlights Bastar’s post-conflict transformation following PM meet

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai returned to the state capital on Thursday following a high-profile visit to New Delhi. Speaking to media, Chief Minister stated the visit was marked by a pivotal meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which the he formally thanked the Union Government for what he described as the successful eradication of Naxalism in the state.
Chief Minister said that the centerpiece of the discussion between the CM and the Prime Minister was the transformation of the Bastar region.
After four decades of conflict, CM Sai stated that Bastar has finally been ‘liberated,’ and he presented a detailed, visionary blueprint for the region’s holistic development.
He informed the Prime Minister of specific plans to accelerate infrastructure, healthcare, and education in areas previously hindered by insurgency. He extended an official invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Bastar after the monsoon season. A series of foundation stone-laying and inauguration ceremonies for major developmental projects are proposed to take place during the PM’s upcoming visit.
Beyond administrative matters, he met with BJP National President Nitin Nabin to discuss organisational matters and the upcoming elections in Assam.
Speaking to journalists, CM Sai expressed absolute confidence in the party’s trajectory, stating that the BJP is in a
‘very strong position’ and is poised to form the government in Assam due to a highly-favorable political climate.
