Senior BJP leader and State Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the next Government in West Bengal.
Vijayvargiya, who was in the city to attend local programmes, spoke to the media on a range of issues, including international developments and ensuing West Bengal Assembly elections. He later left for Indore.
Commenting on ongoing tensions involving Iran, Israel and United States, Vijayvargiya said the conflict is primarily between Iran and Israel, but alleged that the US is playing an indirect role.
He termed the situation sensitive and called for balanced diplomacy.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy, Vijayvargiya said India has maintained strong and balanced relations with both Iran and Israel despite global pressures. He termed it as an example of effective diplomacy, saying that both countries consider India a trusted partner.
On West Bengal elections, Vijayvargiya made a strong claim that the BJP will not only perform well but will also form the Government in the State.
He also spoke on the issue of ‘loyalty’, saying there are some people who live in the country but do not show commitment towards it. Without naming anyone, he urged citizens to understand their responsibilities and said such concerns would be addressed with time.
