Madhya Pradesh wins 8 medals, including 3 gold, in Para-Athletics Championship for the first time. The 24th National Para-Athletics Championship 2026 concluded with a spectacular finish at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Haryana topped the medal tally with 95 medals, including 39 gold. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj honoured the winners at the closing ceremony.

Haryana emerged as overall champion, dominating
the medal tally with 95 medals, including 39 gold. Para athletes brought glory to Madhya Pradesh with their outstanding performance in the competition for the first time.
Athletes from Madhya Pradesh won a total of eight medals. Preeti Tripathi from Jabalpur was the coordinator of women’s athletes for Madhya Pradesh Para Olympic team. She was accompanied by Sandeep Mandal and team manager Nipendra. The winners are as follows: In the blind category,
Komal Tyagi came first in 100 and 200 meter races. Arpit Sharma secured third place in the 100 and 400 meter races. Bharat Rawat secured second place in javelin throw. Kanak Bhadoria secured first place in 100 meter race and Shanti Bai secured second place in 1500 meter race in blind category.
