Two institutions from Madhya Pradesh including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, have received additional seats in the specialized courses. In a significant update for super-specialty medical aspirants, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), operating under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has announced an extension for the choice filling process for NEET SS Counselling 2025, Round 2. The decision came alongside the addition of fresh seats to the seat matrix, offering candidates more opportunities to secure their preferred specializations. The window for Round 2 choice filling has been extended till further orders. This provides a crucial buffer for candidates to reassess their options in light of the new seat additions.
 
Then, a total of 9 newly approved seats have been incorporated into the Round 2 seat matrix. These seats were added based on recent communications and inputs received from various participating institutes. To ensure flexibility, the MCC has allowed candidates to ‘unlock’ their previously submitted and locked choices to include the newly added seats in their preference list or modify their existing selections entirely. According to the official notice, the additional seats span several institutes and specialties. Overall 9 seats have been added in the seat matrix which include 2 seats for D.M. Cardiology at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, 01 seat in
 
M.CH. Neuro Surgery at LN Medical College and Research Centre, Bhopal, 01 seat in M.CH. Urology at for Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Punjab, 02 seats in D.M. Neurology at Himalayan Institute of Medical Science, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, 01 seat in D M Nephrology at Dr Ulhas Patil Medical College and Hospital, Jalgaon, Maharastra and 02 seats in M.CH. Urology at Dr M K Shah Medical College and Research Centre, SMT SMS MultiSpecialty Hospital, Gujarat, respectively. The addition of seats is expected to provide more opportunities for candidates, while ensuring real-time accuracy in seat availability,” the MCC stated in its official notification.
