THE state-of-art Nagpur Sports Hub being constructed at Divisional Sports Complex is taking shape and will be completed in coming years. The sports hub, with various sporting facilities apart from museum, library, will be one of its kind in the region. Newly-appointed District Collector Kumar Ashirwad reviewed the construction work of sports hub at Mankapur on Saturday. He instructed concerned officials not to compromise on quality of the work. The collector also inspected engineering planning and the materials used for construction. District Sports Officer Pallavi Dhatrak also accompanied him. The Block A of four-storied multi-sports complex will have a parking lot, Olympic-size swimming pool, diving pool on the ground floor.
 
The first floor will have a sports science centre, table tennis, spectator gallery, library and multi-sports hall. The second floor consist of a 10-metre shooting range, fitness centre, wrestling, judo, boxing rings, multipurpose hall, gymnastics squash and facing courts. An eight-storey building will be constructed in Block B which will have a banquet hall, kitchen on the ground floor. The first floor will have space for board games, library, e-gaming zone and TV room. The second floor will have a multipurpose hall, badminton and squash courts and a yoga room. The third floor will have a spa, gymnasium while a rooftop swimming pool, rooftop restaurant, indoor restaurant will be constructed on the fourth floor. Service apartments will be on the fifth and sixth floors. Presidential suites, deluxe suites will be on the seventh floor. Apart from these, 10 other blocks will also be constructed.
