Settled on the banks of a river
Like a queen is my beautiful village
Dressed up in green.
Lying in the shade of trees
I feel alive every morning in
the shining river, I dive.
Watching the rising sun calms my soul
The sunset makes me feel whole.
What’s the life in a village, you ask?
Everyday a new miracle
That Nature unmasks.
Glowing like a painting in
The dawn’s radiant light
Like a dark quilt lined
With luminous stars at night.
On the bank of a river
Lies my village so serene
Like a gift from heaven dressed in green.
