In a continued effort to streamline traffic arrangement in the city, traffic police have taken strict action against improperly parked four-wheelers by using wheel locks on vehicles found obstructing public roads. Acting on the directives of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay (IPS), and under the guidance of Additional SP (Traffic) Anjana Tiwari, special enforcement drives are being conducted across key market areas. The campaign is being led by DSP (Traffic) Santosh Shukla (Malviya Chowk), Baijnath Prajapati (Garha) and Sangeeta Domor (Ghamapur), along with station in-charges of all three traffic police stations. Teams are regularly making public announcements in busy market areas, advising vehicle owners to park only at designated parking spots.

Municipal Corporation has made arrangements for four-wheeler parking at multi-level parking facilities near Bhanwartal and Manas Bhavan. Similarly, parking has been provided at Shrinath Ki Talaiya for visitors to Lordganj Bada Fuhara market. Despite repeated advisories, strict action has been taken against those who continue to park vehicles haphazardly on public roads, causing traffic congestion. Such violations have been reported in areas including Gorakhpur Market, Sadar Bazar, Civic Centre, Jayanti Complex, around Bhanwartal Garden, Indra Market and Delight Market. During the month of March, action was taken against 84 vehicles under Sections 122/177 and 117/177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, with a total fine of Rs 42,000 collected. The traffic police have appealed to citizens to cooperate and follow parking norms to ensure smooth traffic flow across the city.
