HARMAN Bamrah came up with good all-round show as SB City defeated SGR boys by 59 runs to emerge champions in the VCA Under-16 Inter-Academy One-Day Tournament that concluded at VCA’s Kalamna Ground on Sunday.
In an exciting final, SB City boys made 187 after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Skipper Viraj Verma top-scored with 49 while Rajas Vaidya (22) and Veer Jadhav (25) chipped in with useful scores.
Dewansh Bhoyar claimed four wickets for SGR Academy.
SGR boys, however, failed to chase down the target and were bundled out for 128 in 30.1 overs.
Harman Bamrah, who had earlier contributed 21 runs, claimed four wickets for 35 runs.
BRIEF SCORES: SB City Academy ‘A’ Team 187 all out in 42.5 overs (Rajas Vaidya 22, Harman Bamrah 21, Viraj Verma 49, Veer Jadhav 25; Dewansh Bhoyar 4-34, Darshan Thorkar 2-27, Siddharth Gupta 2-41). SGR Academy ’A’ Team 128 all out in 30.1 overs (Utkarsh Lavhare 29; Harman Bamrah 4-35, Shourya Jain 2-34, Kartikey Tiwari 2-20). Result: SB City Academy ‘A’ won by 59 runs.
