In an initiative aimed at wildlife protection during the rising summer heat, members of the All India Women’s Council (Padmavati Division) organised a special program at Jain Nagar in the Lalghati area. The event focused on avian welfare, with women distributing “sakore” (clay water bowls) and birdseed to local residents. Beyond the distribution, the participants took a formal pledge to actively look after birds and maintain these feeding stations throughout the season.

Mona Jain, a member of the council, emphasised the simplicity and impact of the gesture, urging citizens to place the clay bowls on rooftops, in courtyards, or hang them from trees. She highlighted that ensuring a daily supply of fresh water and grain is a vital contribution toward environmental conservation and the protection of biodiversity. The initiative saw active participation from council members including Shruti Jain, Mili Jain, Shaili Jain, Namrata Jain, Sarita Jain, and Mona Jain, among others.
