Pratibha Singh Solanki, a student hailing from Hinauti, a small village in Gunnaur Tehsil of Panna district has made history by securing first rank in the State-level merit list of class 10th Board examination conducted by MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE). Pratibha topped the State by scoring an impressive 499 out of 500 marks.
Success did not come easily for Pratibha. The distance between her village and her school was approximately 8 kilometers. She travelled daily by bus to attend Saraswati Gyan Mandir School in Gunnaur and maintained a consistent regimen of hard work.
Pratibha’s father, Bhartendu Singh Solanki, works as an Employment Assistant in the village, while her mother Neva Singh Solanki is a Government school teacher.
Her father stated that this success is the direct result of his daughter’s hard work, discipline and dedication.
Darshana Sakhare, Planning Officer for the District Education Department, informed that Panna district has delivered an outstanding performance this year. Ten students from the district have secured a place in the State-level merit list. The pass percentage for 10th grade stood at 75.78%, while for 12th was 77.94%.
Principal of Saraswati Gyan Mandir in Gunnaur Manish Singh Yadav informed that eight students from their school have made it to the State’s merit list.
Family members congratulated Pratibha by offering her sweets to celebrate her achievement. Pratibha has attributed her success to her parents and teachers. She has set her goal for preparing for UPSC examination in the future with the goal of joining administrative services.
It is her father’s dream that she eventually becomes a Government officer and serves the nation.
