TANVI Sukhdev Dhurve, a class 10 student of Swaminarayan School and member of Roshan Swimming Club, scored 92 percent in the CBSE Class 10th examination.
Interestingly, Tanvi’s exam and the National Trial Stage 2 trials of the Khelo India competition in Ahmedabad, clashed.
A day before the examination, Tanvi was in Ahmedabad. She reached Nagpur at 11 pm and wrote her paper the next morning. Tanvi combined sports and studies to score 92 percent. She had won a gold medal for Maharashtra in the Khelo India swimming competition and has been winning medals in the junior national water polo competitions for two consecutive years. Tanvi also bagged two bronze medals in the School State-Level Swimming Championships while she was in class 10th.
Tanvi is daughter of international ocean swimmer Sukhdev Dhurve while her mother is a Zilla Parishad teacher. Tanvi’s brother is also a national-level water polo player.
Former District Collector Sudhir Dive, Corporator Dilip Dive, Secretary of Maharashtra Swimming Association Rajendra Palkar, coach Roshan Chaudhary, Sports Officer Sandeep Khobragade, Dr Pravin Lamkhade and physio Dr Kevin Agarwal congratulated Tanvi on her double success.

Budding shuttler Sairaj Nayse cleared the CBSE Class X exams with remarkable success despite playing badminton throughout the year.
Sairaj, who is ranked 22 in the U-17 boys category in India according to the latest BAI rankings, got 58.6% marks.
Fifteen-year-old Sairaj, who won two bronze medals in the MBA-conducted State badminton tournaments last season, is a student of Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhavan.
