On behalf of the Vidarbha sanshodhan mandal, Vasant Krishna Varhadpande Memorial Award ceremony and the release of the translated book ‘Temples in Karnataka and Their Socio-Economic Role’ by Dr Madan Kulkarni were held at the Dr V.V. Mirashi Hall of the Vidarbha Sanshodhan Mandal which was chaired by Raisoni university Amravati’s Vice Chancellor Dr Vinayak Deshpande.
Dr Madan Kulkarni, Vice President of Vidharbha sanshodhan mandal, senior journalist and Member of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh Shripad Aparajit, author Dr Ismail Yellulu; senior multilingual literater Dr Asha Pande; Executive President of Vidharbha sanshodhan mandal Parag Pandhripande; and Secretary Dr Rajendra Watane.
The Vasant Krishna Varhadpande Memorial Award was presented to senior multilingual poetess and President of Sahitya Vihar, Dr Asha Pande. In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude for receiving an award in the name of Dr Vasant Krishna Varhadpande. Dr Ismail Yellulu, Dr Madan Kulkarni, Shripad Aparajit, Dr Vinayak Deshpande expressed their views.
Dr Rajendra Watane compered while Dr Anjali Joshi proposed a vote of thanks. Among those present were Dr Hemant Sane, Sheshshayan Deshmukh, Dr Padmakar Joshi, Dr Kumar Shastri, Dr Prekshanjay Lipte, Dr Ajay Kulkarni, and several other distinguished guests.
