A musical programme titled ‘Phiruni Navi Janmen Mi’ organised by Swarved Nagpur, was recently held to pay tributes to music legend and Padma Vibhushan awardee late Asha Bhosle, who passed away on Sunday. The programme featured several of Asha Bhosle’s iconic songs in both Hindi and Marathi, including ‘Salona Sa Sajan’, ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’, ‘Chhod Do Achal’, ‘Ude Jab Jab Zulfe Teri’, ‘Mai Chali Mai Chali’, ‘Chain Se Hamko Kabhi’ ‘Tarun Aahe Raat Azhun Hi’ that were rendered by various participants.

 

Dr Manjiri Vaidya, Dr Sheela Kulkarni, Shreya Kharbe-Tanksale, Parijat Kalikar, and others participated in this musical programme. Adv Bhanudas Kulkarni conceptualised the programme. Shivani Dani-Wakhare, Chairperson of the NMC’s Standing Committee, along with retired Justice Vikas Sirpurkar, and Anuja Parchure were present.
