CHIEF Minister Vishnu
Deo Sai inaugurated and
laid the foundation stone
for 774 state-approved
Phase 4 roads under the
Pradhan Mantri Gram
Sadak Yojana at a programme held at Ranjita
Stadium Jashpur today.
The construction of these
roads, totaling 2,426.875
kilometres, will cost Rs
2,225.44 crore.
Of these, a total of 77
roads will be constructed
in Jashpur district. Their
total length is 197.26 kilometres and the cost is Rs
196.20 crore. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai
announced Rs 80 lakh for
the renovation of the
Vashishtha Community
Hall located at the Jashpur
district headquarters.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said
that today is a historic day
for Chhattisgarh. Under
the Pradhan Mantri Gram
Sadak Yojana (Phase 4),
foundation stations have
been laid for 774 roads at
a cost of Rs 2,225 crore.
The construction of these
roads, approximately 2,427
kilometers long, will provide all-weather paved
road connectivity to 781
settlements, bringing
about a profound change
in rural life. Pradhan
Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana
(PMGSY) has become the
lifeline of rural life, connecting remote villages, he
added.
He informed that under
the Bharatmala Project,
road construction work is
underway from Raipur to
Visakhapatnam and from
Raipur to Dhanbad via
Jashpur. This will reduce
the distance from Jashpur
