SHRADDHA Nabira led from the front with an unbeaten century as her side Team F thrashed Team D by 50 runs to lift the Women’s Guzder T20 title on Friday. Making first use of the pitch, Shraddha smacked all Team D bowlers to score undefeated 100 runs from 63 deliveries as they posted 158 for five from 20 overs under lights at VCA Civil Lines Stadium. Team D then were bundled out for 108 in 17.1 overs. Despite losing her opening partner Akshra Itankar (4) and No 3 batter Nimisha Kotecha (2) cheaply, Shraddha kept her cool and played a sensible knock with the help of 10 boundaries and three sixes.

 

Prerna Randive chipped in with a valuable 16 runs from 18 balls and Arya Gohane scored an unbeaten 10-ball 13. Team D faltered in the chase and lost three wickets for 31 runs. Latika Inamdar sparkled briefly with 19-ball 24 and added 45 runs for the fourth wicket with Saumya Puri (15). After both fell in quick succession, skipper Gargi Wankar made an attractive unbeaten 31 but her team folded for 108 in 17.1 overs, leaving Team F victorious by 50 runs.
