Aura Conservation Park recently hosted a 2 days, captivating residential workshop on the fascinating world of honey bees and marvelous medicinal plants. The event aimed to impart knowledge on the importance of medicinal plants and the crucial role of honey bees in biodiversity and pollination. Over two days, participants delved into the intricacies of nature’s pharmacy and the significance of conserving these natural resources.
The workshop covered topics such as Nature’s Pharmacy, Vanushadhi Darshan, and the Nakshatra Garden, highlighting how medicinal plants are body’s natural defenders. Vijay Bhagat from Flora n Fauna shed light on the importance and contribution of honey bees, emphasising their role in maintaining ecological balance.
Participants gained hands-on experience with bee keeping and
learned about the process of
honey production.
A special highlight of the event was the honey tasting session, featuring 25 varieties of honey, allowing participants to savor the diverse flavours and aromas. The event concluded with stargasing activities, allowing participants to connect with nature under the starry night sky.
Founder Director of Aura Conservation Park, Ambarish Ghatate, urged attendees to take conservation efforts seriously, emphasising the urgent need to protect these natural wonders for future generations. “We must work together to preserve our natural heritage and ensure the well-being of our planet,” he said.
