SAMIKSHA Singh delivered an outstanding performance by clinching victory at the Maharashtra State U-17 Boxing Selection Trials held at SAI Centre, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar recently, informs Porus Kotwal, Secretary, Nagpur District Boxing Association. Competing in the 54–57 kg weight category, Samiksha showcased exceptional skill and dominance in the ring. Samiksha secured a convincing win in the semi-final against Gauraja Mhatre of Mumbai by RSC in the first round.

 

In the final bout, she defeated Arya Kondke of Pune with a unanimous 5-0 decision. With this remarkable achievement, Samiksha has earned her place to represent Maharashtra at the 7th U-17 Boxing National Championships scheduled to be held in Nagpur from April 5 to 11. Her performance reflects dedication, discipline, and strong competitive spirit, bringing pride to the state. She trains under renowned boxing coach Ganesh, Purohit. Members of Nagpur district and Nagpur City Boxing Association have extended their best wishes for forthcoming Boxing National Championship.
