Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), Government of India, Waddepalley Ramchander, paid an official visit to Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on Saturday. During this important visit, he conducted a detailed review of various issues related to the welfare of Scheduled Caste employees in the company, the implementation of reservation policies, and the protection of their rights.
On this occasion, the commission’s Director G Sunil Kumar Babu, was also present. During the meeting, WCL’s Director Technical (Projects & Planning) Sandeep Paranjpe, welcomed the commission and briefed them about the company’s activities.
During the meeting, Waddepalley Ramchander reviewed the facilities and welfare schemes available for Scheduled Caste employees working in WCL.
Director G Sunil Kumar Babu instructed the concerned officials to ensure strict compliance with constitutional provisions.
Also present during the review meeting were General Manager (Human Resources/Industrial Relations) Lalit Prakash Tirkey, and Manager (Human Resources) and Liaison Officer (SC/ST), Atul Bansod. The management assured the commission that WCL is fully committed to social justice and inclusive development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the commission appreciated the efforts being made by WCL and provided necessary guidelines for the future. Also present at the meeting were D K Chaudhary, General Manager (Finance), Dr Niyogi, Chief Medical Services, and General Manager S P Tiwari (Civil Welfare).
