Gondia, Yavatmal and Bhandara registered wins over their respective rivals in the ongoing Inter-District T20 Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) at its grounds on Monday. At VCA Civil Lines ground, Gondia rode on Siddhesh Wath (62) and R Sanjay’s (54) fine batting to beat Buldhana by 15 runs. Riding on half centuries from Wath and Sanjay, Gondia posted 183-9 in 20 overs. While Wath hit four boundaries and as many sixes in his 37-ball knock, Sanjay hit nine fours from 34 deliveries. Rajneesh Gurbani took two wickets for Buldhana.

 

In reply, Buldhana were restricted at 168-8 in 20 overs. Yash Kadam was the top score for Buldhana with 43 runs. Rahul Dongarwar took three wickets for Gondia while Gaurav Farde and Adhyayan Daga took two each. Brief scores Nagpur Rural-Washim 168-5 (Vaibhav Chouksey 49, Yash Rathod 35, Parth Rekhade 40*; Shanmesh Deshmukh 2-36) lost to Akola 170-2 (Prabal Chaukhande 59, Tushar Suryawanshi 90) 8 wickets. Bhandara 189-5 (Updesh Rajput 69, Mandar Mahale 59; Dipesh Parwani 2-28) bt Amravati 178-9 (Shivam Deshmukh 51; Kshitiz Dahiya 3-27, Om Kodwani 2-19) by 11 runs. Yavatmal 217-5 (Vedant Dighade 63, Rohidas Lakhule 51; Rohit Dattatraya 2-16) bt Chandrapur 120 (Neel Athaley 39; Pratham Maheshwari 2-14, Rohit Dattatraya 2-16) by 97 runs.
