Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar has directed senior officials to ensure that no waterlogging occurs anywhere in the city during the ensuing monsoon and the drainage system remains completely obstruction free. The Municipal Commissioner conducted an inspection of Rampur, Gorakhpur, Civil Lines and the headquarters division along with health and sanitation teams.

 

During the visit, he reviewed cleanliness arrangements on major roads as well as in residential areas and stressed that citizens should not face any inconvenience during the rainy season. He instructed officials to complete desilting of major drains on a priority basis before the onset of rains. He also directed that garbage and blockages in smaller drains be removed immediately to maintain smooth flow of water.
