NTPC Limited’s Korba unit has further reinforced its commitment to social responsibility and inclusive community development through its flagship Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), aimed at nurturing young girls through education, awareness and holistic growth. In a key development under the ongoing programme, medical examinations of 142 participants out of the total 156 enrolled have been successfully completed. The health screening forms an integral part of the initiative, ensuring the physical well-being of the participants as they undergo various developmental and educational activities. The programme has witnessed extensive outreach, covering as many as 36 schools across Korba and its adjoining areas.

The enthusiastic participation highlights the increasing acceptance and positive impact of the initiative among local communities. The Girl Empowerment Mission is structured to instill confidence, leadership qualities and essential life skills among young girls. It also focuses on creating awareness regarding health, education and social issues. Through a series of structured sessions, mentoring and interactive learning modules, the initiative seeks to build a strong foundation for the participants’ future. The continued efforts of NTPC Korba underline its dedication towards empowering the next generation and contributing meaningfully to community development. The initiative reflects NTPC’s broader vision of fostering inclusive growth and creating a lasting positive impact on society.
