Amid geopolitical uncertainties and West Asia tensions, the Chhattisgarh government has assured that supplies of essential commodities including LPG, petrol, diesel, and agricultural fertilisers—remain stable and well-regulated statewide. Principal Secretary of the Agriculture Department Shahla Nigar, Chief General Manager (Marketing) for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh at Indian Oil Corporation Limited Ajay Kumar Srivastava, and Director of the Food Department Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui addressed a joint press conference at New Circuit House in Raipur today. They confirmed ample availability of fertilisers, LPG, and automotive fuels. Senior officials and public sector oil company representatives ruled out any shortages, citing robust supply chains and buffer stocks to meet demand. Chief General Manager Srivastava highlighted the state's resilient distribution ecosystem. Daily LPG supply stands at 72,000 cylinders, matching normal consumption, with adequate storage at five bottling plants run by Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum.

A network of 539 distributors ensures delivery across urban and rural areas. To support low-income users, students, migrant workers, and temporary residents, 5-kg LPG cylinders are available. Special camps are operating in industrial hubs like Urla, Siltara, Tifra, Sirgitti, Patharapal, and Bhupdevpur. Petrol and diesel supplies are steady at 2,587 retail outlets, backed by terminals, POL depots, and pipeline/rail networks. Digital enhancements boost transparency: 98% of LPG bookings occur via SMS, IVRS, or missed-call services, with Delivery Authentication Codes ensuring accountability. Dr. Siddiqui noted strict anti-black marketing measures, including 419 inspections, 105 FIRs, and seizure of 3,946 cylinders. Drives will intensify. Principal Secretary Nigar confirmed advance stocking of fertilizers for the Kharif season to avert shortages. Officials urged citizens and farmers to ignore rumors and avoid panic buying. The administration remains vigilant to sustain daily life and farming without disruption.
