ROHIT Binkar made mockery of Akola bowlers with a scintillating unbeaten century as he escorted Gadchiroli to a huge victory in the ongoing Inter-District T20 Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association at its Kalamna ground on Wednesday. It rained fours and sixes from the blade of Binkar as Gadchiroli chased down a huge target of 207 put up by Akola with eight wickets in hand and 24 deliveries to spare. Gadchiroli lost opener Tushar Kadu early but captain Faiz Sheikh (77; 39b, 6x4, 5x6) and Binkar (117; 51b, 11x4, 9x6) joined hands and took their side to shores with utmost ease. The two put up 184 runs from 86 balls for the second wicket to take the match away from Akola. Ashish Jadhav bore the brunt of Binkar as he conceded 49 runs from three overs without any success. Earlier, it was a combined batting effort from Akola who scored 206 for six in 20 overs. Vaibhav Lande, who had scored a fine match-winning century in Guzder League A Division final for MRCC, scored 27 runs up front. Siddhant Mule (45), Addhyan Routhan (77) and Atharwa Bhambere (20) were the other notable scorers. For Gadchiroli, Sarthak Dhabadgaonkar took three wickets.
 
In another match, Nagpur Rural-Washim defeated Yavatmal by four wickets at Kalamna ground. Yavatmal scored 110 in 13.5 overs with Pushpa Gujar scoring 25. For Nagpur Rural-Washim, Vaibhav Singh took four wickets while Avinash Jadhav took two. In reply, Nagpur Rural-Washim achieved the target in 13.3 overs. Opener Dhruv Pise top scored with 47 runs from 25 deliveries which had five boundaries and two sixes. Gaurav Nikam remained unbeaten on 19. Jagjot Sasan took two wickets for Yavatmal. At VCA Civil Lines ground, Buldhana beat Bhandara by four wickets. Bhandara posted 158-9 from 20 overs. Updesh Rajput top scored for them with 37 runs. Rajneesh Gurbani, Shreyash Padole and captain Yash Kadam took two wickets each for Buldhana. In return, Buldhana knocked off the runs in 16.4 overs. Om Bayaskar scored highest 41 runs while opener Avesh Sheikh added 26 and Alok Wadkar contributed unbeaten 38. For Bhandara, Kshitiz Dahiya took two wickets. In an afternoon game at VCA Civil Lines, Amravati defeated Wardha by eight runs. Amravati posted 162-9 in 20 overs with Vishesh Tiwari hitting a fine half century (52; 24b, 8x4, 2x6). Akshay Agrawal scored 28. For Wardha, Kunal Nagar took five wickets for 15 runs and Mandar Ghodmare took two. In reply, Wardha could score 154-8 in 20 overs. Openers Siddhesh Dandewar scored 22 and Gaurang Dhage 35 runs. Malhar Shikhare took two wickets for the winning side.
