JATIN Kale and Shreyas Mehadia emerged winners of the 9th CP Club Annual Snicket Tournament played between members and dependents of CP Club and Gondwana Club. In the final, the Kale-Mehadia duo defeated Akshay Khetrapal and Lavesh Bajaj 3-1 in a best of five frames match. After winning the first two frames 122-79 and 71-47 respectively, Kale-Mehadia lost the third frame 75-187. In the 4th frame the winners came back from a position of no return to clinch the closely fought frame 38-36 in which Kale under pressure held his nerve and displayed his skills and steady temperament to clinch the title. Earlier in the qualifier round, the winning pair of Kale-Mehadia defeated the same pair of Khetrapal-Bajaj in a five frame cliffhanger 3-2. The score read 113-26, 76-49, 60-91, 45-147, 76-46. Later in the eliminator, Khetrapal-Bajaj drubbed the pair of Padole-Gulati 3-0 (166-151, 145-110, 94-31) to enter the summit clash.
