Action-packed learning defines BMS

Staff Reporter :
Small figures of soldiers in uniform descending from a helicopter on a hill to attack an enemy by crossing obstacles, traversing a deep valley by performing monkey crawl, before crossing a burma bridge and tarzan swing to fire on enemy with precision seems like a scene from a big-budget bollywood war movie. However, children of the city aged between 10 and 16 years not only get to watch it in real life, but also get to enact it themselves in the Personality Development Camp, currently underway, at Bhonsala Military School (BMS) in association with ‘The Hitavada’ Twinkle Club.

At first glance, the Personality Development Camp appears to be about adventure. Early mornings, physical drills, and outdoor challenges create that impression. Yet the camp’s core purpose runs deeper: shaping confident, disciplined, and capable young individuals.

The children are thrilled to have new experiences, often for the first time in their lives. “Archery is much more exciting than anything I have done ever in my life,” said an excited participant of the camp after striking the target for first time. Children are also seen excited for horse riding and obstacle training in equal measures.
The activities like Aeromodeling, gift packing, group discussion, cooking, dancing and others contribute to participants overall development.
The next session, scheduled from May 1 to May 10, continues admissions, offering another opportunity to experience this comprehensive approach to personality development.
