Tarun Prakash, General Manager of South East Central Railway (SECR), conducted a comprehensive and intensive safety inspection of the Chhindwara - Seoni - Nainpur - Gwarighat (Jabalpur) rail section under the Nagpur Division on Friday. The inspection, aimed at evaluating operational efficiency and safety standards, commenced at Chhindwara station and concluded at Gwarighat station, covering various intermediate stations, track structures, bridges,
and signaling systems.
At Chhindwara station, the General Manager reviewed the progress of development works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
On the occasion, the General Manager inaugurated the newly constructed Railway Institute and an RPF Post and performed digital launch of a new rest house booking app.
In addition to this, during the visit, a high-level meeting was also held with MP Bunty Vivek Sahu and members of the station consultative committee.
Discussions focused on regional rail development, expansion of passenger amenities, and the strengthening of safety protocols were also held. At Chaurai station, the General Manager performed a technical evaluation of - curves, points, and crossings. Prakash issued strict directives to further enhance the quality of track maintenance and ensure zero-compromise on safety parameters.
At Seoni Station, the inspection team assessed passenger amenities and cleanliness. The General Manager inaugurated a newly built Electric Substation and a Subsidiary Track Machine Rest House.
He also met with MP Bharti Pardhi to discuss regional requirements and the expansion of train services. In the Kevalari and Nainpur sections, a strategic meeting was held with Sampatiya Uikey, Minister of Public Health and Engineering, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
The inspection was attended by Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Gupta, and other senior officers.
