CHHATTISGARH continues to experience intense summer conditions with dry weather prevailing across State
on Friday, according to the Meteorological Centre, Raipur.
No rainfall was recorded in the past 24 hours, and temperatures remain above normal in most regions.
Raipur recorded a maximum temperature of 43.4°C,
which is 3 degrees above normal, while the minimum
temperature stood at 25.9°C, slightly above average. Other
parts of the state also reported high temperatures, with
Bilaspur at 43.6°C and Durg at 42.8°C.
The highest temperature in State was recorded at 44.5°C in Rajnandgaon,
while the lowest minimum temperature was noted at 20.5°C
in Ambikapur.
Humidity levels remained low, ranging between 36 percent in the morning and 21 per cent in the evening, while
wind speed stayed around 1 kmph.
The sky remained
partly cloudy, contributing to continued heat discomfort. The weather department has forecast dry conditions
to continue, with a possibility of heatwave conditions at
isolated places. Over the next 48 hours, maximum temperatures may rise by 1 to 2 degrees, after which no major
change is expected for the following three days. For Raipur
city, the forecast for April 25 indicates a heatwave, with
temperatures likely to hover around 44°C during the day
and 28°C at night. Authorities have advised residents to
take precautions, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun,
and stay hydrated during the ongoing heat conditions
