A one-day special session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will be held on April 30, during which a censure motion regarding the handling of women’s reservation and delimitation issues will be taken up. In this regard, Secretary of the Assembly Dinesh Sharma issued According to the order, the ninth session of the Sixth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will be convened on Thursday, April 30.

 

The session will consist of a single sitting, during which government business will be transacted. Earlier, Chief Minister had stated that the special session was being convened to pass a censure motion concerning the handling of women’s reservation and delimitation issues. He alleged that a grave injustice had been done to the women of the country and claimed that the Indian National Congress had opposed Prime Minister’s initiative to provide 33 per cent reservation for women. The special session has been called specifically to pass a censure motion on the issue, he said.
