THE Nagpur District Cycle Polo Association launched its free summer coaching camp for cycle polo with great zeal at Darshan Colony, Nandanvan, on Saturday morning.
Campers will be provided special training in fitness workouts and in crucial aspects like game strategy, team-work and leadership by experienced national and international coaches providing key technical, skill-based training in this camp, informs Uttam Itankar, Secretary (NDCPA) through a press release.
The camp also will feature motivational sessions, yoga and pranayama.
Players for the upcoming State-level championship and district-level matches will picked through this camp. Excelling players will also be provided with further opportunities and specialised guidance.
Sessions will be held from 6 to 8 in the morning and evening.
The camp is organised under the guidance of Association President Kamlesh Thokar and Itankar.
Dignitaries including Dr Vinod Jaiswal, Dinesh Sarve, Sanjay Tijare, Chandrakant Tijare, Babarao Tumsare, Milind Patle, Kamalakar Godbole, Mahendra Kavde, Gajanan Baghgmare, Jay Uke and Mohit Khobragade were also present during the inaugural function.
The players must bring their own bicycles, helmets, necessary safety gear, water bottles and appropriate sports attire.
