ST FRANCIS de Sales High School and Junior College’s Pranav Gaikwad brought glory to the institution and State by winning the gold medal in Under-14 boys singles at the prestigious School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Lawn Tennis Championship held in Delhi.
Displaying exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, Pranav outperformed competitors from across the country to secure top position in his
category.
His victory marks a significant milestone not only for the school but also for Nagpur’s growing presence in national-level
sports. In the final, Gaikwad defeated Krish Beniwal 4-4
(7-4), 4-4(7-5), 4-1.
Adding to the celebration, Pranav was also part of the Maharashtra team, which delivered an impressive performance to clinch silver medal in team event.
The team’s co-ordinated effort and resilience were commendable throughout the meet.
