THE National Institute of Swimming, Manewada-Besa Road, Nagpur, is organising a summer swimming coaching camp from April 6 at the Dolphin Swimming Academy.
The camp will offer training for beginners and elite swimmers alike, under the guidance of expert coaches certified by the Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Sports, Government of India.
The camp is open to individuals of all age groups, from 2 years to senior citizens. A special programme ‘Dolphin Discovery’, designed for children below 7 years, aims to nurture young swimmers from an early age, said Dr Jaiprakash Duble, former Joint Director of Sports, Govt of Maharashtra and international swimming coach.
The camp will cover various aspects including swimming techniques, water safety, life-saving skills, and provide information on international swimming competitions, government schemes and facilities for swimmers.
Jayant Duble, Shiv Chhatrapati awardee, an international swimmer and certified coach by Sports Authority of India will co-ordinate the camp.
