Tension prevailed in the Nara area on Wednesday after several LPG customers created a ruckus at a gas depot over false delivery messages. The situation was later brought under control after police intervened and ensured distribution of cylinders. According to police, the incident took place at an HP gas depot located near the Nara crematorium. Around 25 to 30 customers received messages in their registered mobile numbers claiming that their LPG cylinders had been delivered. However, the customers said, they did not receive any cylinders. Angry over the issue, the customers gathered at the depot and demanded an explanation. The situation soon turned tense as they confronted the depot owner and insisted on immediate delivery of their cylinders. After getting information, a police team from Jaripatka Police Station reached the spot.

The officers calmed the crowd and spoke to both the customers and the depot owner to resolve the matter. Following discussions, the police asked the depot to distribute cylinders to the affected customers based on availability. The distribution was then carried out under police supervision, which helped restore normalcy in the area. Meanwhile, rumours spread in some parts of the city that customers had looted the depot and taken away cylinders. Police clarified that no such incident took place and urged citizens not to believe or spread false information.
