‘KARI’26 - National Kala Sangam' was recently held at the South Central Zonal Cultural Center in the city. the programme was organised by MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune. At the grand ceremony, M J College Bhagini Mandal Sitabardi Nagpur Director Uday Tekade was honoured with the “Kala Gaurav Puraskar”. Maharashtra Minister of State for Housing and School Education Pankaj Bhoyar honoured him with a shawl, shreephal sapling and a medal. The dignitaries present on this occasion praised Uday Tekade for his selfless contribution to the field of art for thirty years and wished him well. Tekade, during this journey, tried to highlight the serious and sensitive issues of the society through his painting exhibitions on many sensitive issues of the society. His organisation M J College Bhagini Mandal Sitabardi Nagpur (Mahalakshmi Jagdamba College) has been organising exhibitions since 2004.
