Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav proudly announced that Madhya Pradesh has become a pioneer in agricultural development by successfully harmonising traditional farming wisdom with modern scientific research. Speaking at the ‘Krishi Manthan’ programme held at Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University (JNAU), the Chief Minister emphasised that agriculture is not merely a source of livelihood but the very foundation of Indian culture and lifestyle. Dr Yadav urged agricultural scientists to focus on climate-resilient farming and the development of high-yield seeds. He noted that by integrating animal husbandry and horticulture with traditional farming, the state can ensure sustainable income growth for its farmers. Chief Minister Dr Yadav stated that promoting natural farming is a necessity of the present time. Madhya Pradesh is a leading State in the country for natural farming, and its area under cultivation is continuously expanding. The Government is encouraging the production and procurement of coarse grains (millets) such as Kodo-Kutki and Ragi. This provides farmers with better market access and promotes nutrition-rich agriculture.

These steps are designed to both empower the farming community economically and improve public health through better nutrition. During the event, the CM launched ‘Jawahar Fodder Digital Scanner’ and a specialised Agricultural Research Tracking App. He inspected various stalls showcasing drone technology, natural farming models and innovative crops like yellow watermelons and multi-colored potatoes. He said that innovation in the agricultural sector is the key to increasing farmers’ income. From drone technology to natural farming, the face of agriculture is changing in Madhya Pradesh. To further boost entrepreneurship, the CM distributed approval orders worth over Rs 10 crore to 10 agricultural start-ups funded by the Government of India. He also initiated the ‘Krishi Sakhi’ training to empower women in the farming sector. The grand ceremony was attended by PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel, Members of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Sumitra Valmik, MP, Jabalpur Lok Sabha Constituency, Ashish Dubey, Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh, MLAs Ajay Vishnoi, Ashok Rohani, Dr Abhilash Pandey, Neeraj Singh, Santosh Varkade, District Panchayat President, Asha Gontia, BJP State Treasurer, Akhilesh Jain, BJP City President, Ratnesh Sonkar, BJP Rural President, Rajkumar Patel, JMC Chairperson, Rikunj Vij, Vice-chancellor, JNAU, Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Agriculture Department, Nishant Varvade, Commissioner, Dhananjay Singh, Collector, Raghavendra Singh and other officials.
