In a quiet but meaningful gesture, members of the Akhil Bharatiya Digambar Jain Mahila Parishad, Ladganj branch came together to support the wedding of a needy girl.
They offered financial aid and essential household items to help her begin a stable new chapter. The initiative underlined how small collective contributions can bring dignity and security to a family at a crucial moment.
As part of the support, a total cash amount of Rs 55,000 was handed over to the bride, Poorti. This included Rs 51,000 contributed by the family of Shweta Modi and Rs 4,000 collected by branch members.
Along with financial help, the parishad also provided a range of household and personal items needed for the marriage.
These included 21 sarees, two lehengas, two gowns, six salwar suits, bedsheets, comforters, pillow covers, anklets, toe rings, artificial jewellery sets, vanity bags, purses, storage containers, utensils such as plates, glasses and steel trays, gift items and food grains including wheat and moong dal. Parishad members said such efforts aim to ensure that no daughter is deprived of a dignified beginning due to financial constraints.
Before the programme, the bride sought blessings from Shri 108 Nishkam Sagar Ji Maharaj. A number of senior office bearers and members of the Parishad including National Vice President Vimla Chaudhary, Divisional President Sandhya Jain and others were present on the occasion.
