DR ATUL Ingole, Career Counseling Specialist and Managing Director, Peoplelink Placements Pvt Ltd has provided important advice to students appearing for NEET UG 2026 exam. He informed that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2026 exam on May 3, 2026, in offline (pen and paper) mode. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm at various test centres across the country. This year, approximately 2.3 million students will appear for the exam for approximately 2.30 lakh medical seats. Pens will be provided to candidates at the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre after the scheduled time.
 
The MBBS seats are approximately 1,29,453, BDS 27,926, AYUSH and Nursing 69,303. Important instructions to be considered for students is to carry their admit card and valid identity proof. They should also carry passport size photographs, follow the dress code, fill the OMR sheet carefully and avoid overwriting. Apart from this, Dr Atul Ingole advised students to carefully read all instructions before the exam and fill out OMR sheets correctly. He emphasised the importance of time management and remaining calm during the exam. Things to keep in mind on the day of the exam are to check OMR sheet and submit all documents after the exam.
